Deze Engelstalige masterclass vindt plaats in het training centre van GC Turkey te Istanbul.

In oktober 2024 kan u met ons mee naar Istanbul om deze fantastisch masterclass van Dr. Bora Korkut te volgen in de prachtige Turkse metropool.  Istanbul is om vele redenen een bijzondere stad. Zo ligt ze op de grens tussen Europa en Azië en daardoor is de stad een smeltkroes van culturen. Daarnaast heeft de stad een ontzettend lange geschiedenis en doet het bijna dienst als één groot museum, terwijl het tegelijkertijd juist heel modern is.

COURSE CONTENT

During this course Dr. Bora Korkut will take you into the world of resin composite restorations. Simple and effective clinical protocols will be discussed to provide esthetic and functional anterior restorations. Various layering techniques will be presented and practiced such as diastema closure restoration with monochromatic layering, crown fracture restoration with polychromatic layering, and direct veneer restoration with injection moulding technique.

We begin the first day with a lecture on 'The importance of the light behavior in the final shade, how to correctly do the color determination and a guideline for the layering technique'. 

The rest of the day we'll have hands-on workhops and demo's on:

• How to bring a tooth back to life by using standard, inside and outside shades
• Application of opaque dentine, dentine and enamel shades on Class IV restoration
• A complete and effective workflow for finishing and polishing
• Anterior Injection Moulding technique

The second day we'll start with a lecture on GC Posterior solutions followed by a demo and hands-on about Posterior restorations: Extending the indications of direct restorations by using a high filled and a fibre reinforced composite in a direct overlay with cusp coverage.

Praktische informatie

Aankomst is voorzien op woensdag 2 oktober. Op donderdag 3 oktober houden we heel de dag training en dineren samen. Vrijdag voorzien we een halve dag training met aansluitend een lunch.
In de namiddag mag u afhankelijk van uw interesse en terugvlucht deelnemen aan een guided city tour door Istanbul.

Dr. Bora Korkut

He was born in 1984, İzmir / TURKEY. He graduated from Marmara University Dentistry in 2008 and started the career as a dentist. He defended the doctorate thesis ‘The assessment of dimensional alterations of worn incisors in different time periods’ in Marmara University, Dentistry Faculty, Restorative Department in 2015 and got ‘PhD’ degree, also ‘Restorative Dentistry Specialist’ title. He has been working as an ‘Asisstant Professor’ in Marmara University, Dentistry Faculty, Department of Restorative Dentistry since 2009. He has many international and national researches and publications about direct aesthetic restorations, tooth wear and early diagnosis of caries lesions. He has given many international and national lectures and courses about ‘Direct Anterior and Posterior Aesthetic Restorations’, ‘Dental Photography’ and ‘Tooth Bleaching’ since 2012.
